Goa Food & Hospitality Expo 2019 concludes its seventh edition

The seventh edition of the Goa Food and Hospitality Expo was recently organised at the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium, at Bambolim in Goa. The three-day event, which is one of the Goa's biggest exhibitions on hotel & restaurant equipment and supplies, was organised by Media Promotions Private Limited.

The expo was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Jenifer Monserrate, Goa Revenue & Information Technology Minister in the presence of the Guest of Honour, Rashmi Uday Singh, who is a renowned food critic and Gourmand World Cookbook Award winner;

Other guests present included, Savio Messias, President of Travel & Tourism Association of Goa; Gaurish Dhond, President of Goa Hospitality & Restaurant Association; Celebrity Chefs Manjit Gill & Vineet Manocha, Ashish Dev Kapur, Founder of Antares & The Wine Co., Saurabh Khanna, General Manager of The Park Calangute; Rajeev Kumar, General Manager of the Fern Kadamba, Ranjeet Pandey, President Culinary Forum of Goa Chef , Peter Walker, MD-India EBRO Foods; Cruz Cardozo, President All Goa Shack Owners Association; Girish Desai, Owner of Kokni Canteen; Prahlad Suctankar, Owner of Black Sheep Bistro & Black Market; Kedar Dhume Director, Media Promotions Private Limited and Clive Sequeira, Director of Media Promotions Private Limited.

Jenifer Monserrate congratulated the organisers for putting up an excellent show which according to her will immensely benefit the Tourism and hospitality industry of the state for driving MICE tourism. She urged the stakeholders to take advantage of this show by visiting and participating in the exhibition.

Rashmi Uday Singh commented that Goa is one of the country's premium tourism destinations, and exhibitions such as these, promote the hospitality and tourism trade.

The special attractions of the exhibition included displays of kitchen & bakery equipment, exclusive cutlery & crockery, food & bakery products, bed & bathroom linen, refrigeration equipment & industrial dish-washers, IT software systems, communication & security systems, furniture, fixtures & interior decor, sound & lighting solutions, housekeeping equipment & hygiene products, water and waste management systems and many more products connected to the food & hospitality industry, some of which were displayed in Goa for the first time. There were 100 plus companies showcasing over 500 products including national and international brands.

Speaking about the Expo, Clive Sequeira, Director of Media Promotions Private Limited said, "People in the business of running of a resort, hotel, restaurant, quick service restaurants, spa, salon, casino, cafe, bakery, fast food joint, pub, club, shack, catering business or anything similar, should take advantage of this exhibition. The Goa Food & Hospitality Expo was scheduled at a time, when most hotels take up renovation activities besides gearing up for the season."
