The Lalit Group along with Indian Wine Academy celebrates the 3rd Indian Wine Day

The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group recently hosted the third Indian Wine Day at their Mumbai hotel. The hospitality group had partnered with Indian Wine Academy and curated a Wine Dinner Experience on the occasion of Indian Wine Day.

 

French Corporate sommelier for The Lalit Group, Charles Donnadieu and The Wine Academy joined hands to discover the most delicate wines from local vineyards. With utmost precision the menu for the event was crafted to compliment the fine palate of the wines with the Indian cuisine.

 

The menu consisted of Indian Canapés station paired with Sula Brut Rose; pre-starter of smoked mushroom and sweet potato strings served with onion relish on a phulka taco paired with bubbly sparkling wine of The Daily Rose Sauvignon Blanc and starters like Goan spiced tandoori prawn and Panch Phoran spiced grilled yoghurt petty were paired with The Source Rose. The main course consisted of Anjeer, akhroti bhara tawa paneer roll and Parat ka Murgh Tikka paired with Reveilo Nero D’ Avola and it summed up with were smoothing wine of Fratelli Noi paired with Badam Halwa Pie.

 

Executive Director of The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group, Mr. Keshav Suri, was thrilled at the success of the event and reiterated: “It has been our endeavour to provide a platform and create an audience that patronises premium quality Indian wines. The Indian Wine Day has now become a marquee event not only for us but for the entire fraternity and wine lovers, as it has gained in popularity year after year. We are happy that this association has strengthened the platform from where the Indian wine industry can catapult to greater heights.”

 

The same sentiment was echoed by Charles Donnadieu, French Corporate Sommelier for The Lalit, “There are so many hidden gems in the Indian wine market. We have tried to put together some interesting brews from the finest vineyards in the country. The collaboration between The Lalit Group and Indian Wine Academy is sure to augment the chemistry between Indian wine producers and the hospitality teams.”

The event was hosted across all The Lalit properties, with an impressive menu with the finest Indian Wine producers who supported us, such as Sula, Grover, Fratelli, York, KRSMA, Chandon, SDU, Big Banyan and Reveilo on the shelf.
