Learning is indeed a life-long process. One such believer is Zubin Mehta, the Managing Director of India's Leading Uniform Company - Uniforms Unlimited. Mehta has grown Uniforms Unlimited into the market leader, designing and manufacturing uniforms for various verticals such as 5 Star Hotels, Luxury Resorts & Spa, Cruise Liners, Airlines, Hospitals, and Corporates in India and Overseas.
A true visionary who has his heart set on a goal of leading his company to prosperity through broadening his brand umbrella. Not one to rest upon his past laurels, Mehta embarked upon mastering an extremely tough and challenging course from "Savile Row Academy, London", which is the pinnacle of sartorial excellence. This academy is known to train only the elite tailors of the future, in the art of Bespoke Tailoring and Cutting. Applications come by the thousands from all across the globe from people who have immense work experience in the field complemented by refined knowledge on tailoring. Out of this only 10 people are selected based on the top scores achieved in a stringent entrance exam. Zubin Mehta was one of the 10, and meticulously went through the entire course of around 2 months, determinedly learning and at times unlearning a bit, internalizing traditional techniques and gaining new perspectives on tailoring, which won him a spot on being the first-ever student to score 95%, the highest ever for Savile Row Academy. He was exposed to a huge knowledge transfer merely by interacting with a few handpicked designers from around the globe, who happened to be his course mates.
Commenting on his accomplishment, Mehta said, "This certainly was the most enriching and insightful opportunity of my life. Being a student once again, this time only to upgrade my craft was quite a challenging one. I am glad I worked my way through this course and succeeded in making my mentors of the academy proud. I sincerely extend my gratitude to the faculty at Savile Row who mentored me, my family who supported me and my entire Uniforms Unlimited team who stood by me successfully, looking into the routine work during the course of my long absence."
For Uniforms Unlimited, achieving the Savile Row certification has added another feather in their hat, giving Team UU the advantage of exercising the newly acquired skills to upgrade their existing products and also to branch out in a fresh new vertical of bespoke tailoring.
