Fabelle launches the world’s most expensive chocolate Trinity - Truffle Extraordinaire priced at INR 4.3 Lakh for one kg

Monday, December 30, 2019, 14:42 Hrs  [IST]

Fabelle Chocolates, a part of ITC's premier offering in the luxury chocolate space, launched the world's most expensive chocolate Trinity - Truffle Extraordinaire at ITC Grand Central, Mumbai. The chocolate has been co-curated by French Michelin Star Chef Philippe Conticini who was also present at the launch event.

One kilogram of the limited edition chocolate is priced at GBP 4,813 which translates to approximately 4.3 lakh in Indian Rupees. With the launch of Trinity – Truffles Extraordinaire, Fabelle has successfully listed itself under the Guinness World Records. In 2012, Le Madeline au Truffle made by chocolatier Fritz Knipschildt from Denmark made it to the Guinness World Record to become the 'most expensive chocolate' in the world, which costs GBP 3,690 translating to approximately 3.37 lakh in Indian Rupees.

The limited edition offering will be encased in a handmade wooden box, each containing 15 truffles weighing approximately 15 gms each. The made to order box will be available at a price of INR 1,00,000.

Trinity – Truffles Extraordinarie symbolises the cycle of life which is represented by three ranges ; The Creator, The Nurturer and The Destroyer. The cost of the chocolates is premium mainly because of the unique ingredients and craftsmanship. They have been handcrafted after an elaborate process of intense research and blending. For instance, all the chocolates are made with single origin cacaos. In addition to the cacaos, The Creator has Tahitian vanilla beans; The Nurturer has intricate layers of Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee Ganache, while The Destroyer is encased with St. Domingue dark chocolate.

Anuj Rastogi, Chief Operating Officer, Chocolates, Confectionary, coffee and New Categories- Food Division, ITC limited, said, "After several months of R&D, we have delivered a product, in which India can take pride in.

We have already started receiving orders for this chocolate and we are expecting a robust demand for this range in the festive season."
