Pod hotel startup Naptapgo has raised INR 2 crore in pre-seed funding from Inflection Point Ventures (IPV) to fuel its expansion and innovation in the affordable hospitality sector. The funds will be allocated to franchise development, marketing, technology upgrades, and central operations to enhance customer experience and drive growth.
Naptapgo offers clean, affordable, and flexible accommodations at transit hubs, urban centers, and religious destinations. Founded by Nitin Malhotra and Himanshu Shukla, the startup is disrupting the hospitality market with compact, sustainable spaces, flexible stay options, and innovative technology. The co-founders, with deep experience in hospitality and business, envision expanding to 20 properties by FY27, targeting cities like Gurgaon, Bangalore, and Amritsar.
The startup’s operational model, which achieves 65% direct bookings via its website and WhatsApp, emphasizes customer-centricity. Naptapgo’s affordable luxury concept, recognized as “Franchisable Concept of the Year 2024,” integrates cost efficiency, strategic locations, and a sustainability focus.
Endorsements from Anand Mahindra and investment by PSU Balmer Lawrie highlight its market potential. With India’s $30 billion hotel market projected to grow to $55 billion by 2030, Naptapgo is poised to redefine affordable hospitality in a rapidly expanding industry.
