Radiant Manufacturers, a leading alco-beverage company from Northeast India, has launched Infamous Northeast Rebel Double Barrel Whisky, a bold and innovative blend redefining whisky craftsmanship. Combining Scotch malts from Angus Dundee, a 7-year-old copper pot-distilled Indian single malt from Jammu, and a 7-year-old continuous column-distilled corn spirit from Assam, Infamous is further matured in ex-bourbon casks from Jack Daniel’s and Oloroso sherry casks from Europe. This double-barrel process imparts a rich, smooth, and bold character to the whisky.
Infamous pays homage to the vibrant, rebellious spirit of Northeast India while embracing a global sensibility. Its distinctive design is raw and edgy, mirroring the cultural authenticity of the region and standing out both on the shelf and in the glass. With a deep golden hue, the whisky offers a fruity nose with notes of berries, nuts, and dates. Its palate is sweet and full-bodied, with cranberry undertones, culminating in a long and satisfying finish.
Vicky Chand, Director at Radiant Manufacturers, shared plans for a three-part Infamous series, beginning with Rebel, to be followed by Renegade and Rogue. Priced at INR 2,500, this premium whisky is available in Assam, marking a milestone in Indian whisky innovation.
