Bar Wars, India’s premier bartender-server competition, is all set to culminate its fourth and largest edition with an electrifying grand finale in Goa. After months of intense competition, the nation’s top bar teams—Steakhouse Bar and Grill from Pune, Papa’s from Mumbai, Jamming Goat from Hyderabad, Room One from Goa, Mehicofrom Kolkata, Muro from Bangalore, INJA from Delhi, and Whisky Samba from Jaipur—will face off for the prestigious title of Bar Wars Champion.
The stakes are high, with the winning team not only earning bragging rights but also taking home a cash prize of INR 2 lakhs and the chance for an international bar takeover in Dubai.
Bar Wars by Greater Than Gin has travelled across India, shining a spotlight on the exceptional teamwork between bartenders and servers that defines the country’s top bars. Unlike traditional competitions, Bar Wars is unique in its approach, placing the power of judging in the hands of consumers rather than industry experts. This ensures a fair and transparent process, driven by the opinions of the patrons who experience the cocktails firsthand.
The journey to the grand finale began with bars submitting their entries via Instagram in 60-second videos, showcasing their creativity and flair. This year, nearly 400 teams from across the country entered the competition, with the top 90 bartender-server duos selected based on their creativity, presentation, and cocktail recipes. The competition toured eight major cities—Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Goa, Kolkata, Bangalore, Delhi, and Jaipur—where each city’s best teams competed in high-energy 75-minute showdowns. These events challenged teams to pitch their signature cocktails, demonstrate their skills, and deliver exceptional service to a live audience, all while aiming to sell the highest number of cocktails.
The finalists have showcased remarkable innovation and introduced audiences to some of the most creative and delicious cocktails in India. Now, they will bring their best to Goa for the ultimate showdown, where one team will be crowned the Bar Wars Champion.
