Hospitality Purchasing Managers' Forum (HPMF) recently launched its Gujarat Chapter in Surat at the bottling plant of Clear Paani. HPMF Gujarat members attended the event from Ahmedabad, Baroda, Surat and neighbouring cities. The program consisted of a visit to the plant, tree plantation, presentation on the Clear Paani, presentation on HPMF, showcasing of HPMF videos and launch of the Gujarat Chapter. Vidhu Sharma will be the President of Gujarat HDMF team.

The Hotel and Restaurant Association of Western India (HRAWI) recently conducted second batch of the Fire Marshals Training programme for hotels and restaurants in the city. The training activity was held at the Mumbai Fire Brigade headquarters in Byculla and was conducted under the supervision of the Mumbai Fire Chief & Director - Directorate of Maharashtra Fire Services – Dr. Prabhat Rahangdale and team. More than 118 employees from several hotels and restaurants across the city received training on the different aspects of fire safety.

OYO Hotels and Homes has committed to invest 300 million euro towards developing the vacation rental industry in Europe. The firm is also expanding its recently launched cafe chain, 'The French Press' in India. The 300 million euro investment will help the firm strengthen the relationship with homeowners in Europe and enable them with the resources required to deliver chic experiences. Oyo had recently acquired brands Belvilla, DanCenter, Danland, and Traum-Ferienwohnungen in Europe. OYO will also expand the presence of OYO Home, Belvilla and Dancenter. OYO Vacation Homes is the first vacation rental firm to start offering homeowner property investments on amenities ranging property enhancements like a swimming pool or sauna.
