The Oberoi Group has announced the launch of RISE (Refine and Invest in Skill Enhancement), a transformative employment and skill development program aimed at equipping young individuals with the skills needed for successful hospitality careers.
Unveiled on Friday, RISE reflects The Oberoi Group’s 90-year legacy of talent development and commitment to excellence. The program aims to train 1,800–2,000 trainees annually by 2025 in key areas such as food and beverage service, kitchen operations, front office, housekeeping, and laundry.
The initiative seeks to empower youth from diverse backgrounds, with selection facilitated through top skilling organizations like Job Plus, the Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council (THSC), and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). Participants will undergo extensive mentorship and hands-on training at The Oberoi Group’s prestigious properties while also receiving compensation during their training period.
“RISE embodies our belief that nurturing talent is essential to shaping the future of hospitality. As we celebrate 90 years of The Oberoi Group, this initiative highlights our vision of creating meaningful opportunities and a lasting legacy of care and service,” said Vikram Oberoi, CEO of The Oberoi Group.
The program goes beyond technical training by focusing on life skills, confidence building, and personal development. “We are not only creating pathways to careers but also empowering individuals from diverse backgrounds,” said Shailja Singh, Chief Human Resources Officer. The program is open to individuals aged 18–22, offering them the opportunity to grow and excel within the hospitality industry and beyond.
