Yes Bawarchi Multicuisine Restaurant in Hyderabad Faces Major Hygiene Concerns During Inspection

Yes Bawarchi Multicuisine Restaurant, Shamshabad, recently came under scrutiny during a health inspection by Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana that revealed several critical hygiene and safety violations.

Upon inspection, it was noted that the restaurant failed to display its FSSAI license prominently, a basic requirement for any food establishment. More alarming was the TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) level of the drinking water provided to customers, which was found to be 24—significantly lower than the mandated minimum of 75, raising concerns about water quality and safety.

The store room was found to contain synthetic food colors, which were immediately discarded by the inspection team. Additionally, semi-prepared and raw food items were neither labelled nor covered, posing significant contamination risks.

Evidence of rat infestation was discovered, with rat faeces observed on the racks and floor. This was compounded by the fact that windows were not fitted with insect-proof screens, further jeopardizing the sanitary conditions.

The restaurant also lacked crucial documentation, including pest control records and medical fitness certificates for food handlers, which are essential to ensure the health and safety of both staff and patrons.

Structural issues were also noted, with flaking plaster on the ceiling and uneven, patchy flooring in the kitchen area, contributing to an overall environment not conducive to food safety.
