MSME Ministry Concludes Pioneering Management Development Program for Pahalgam Hospitality Sector

According to the Rising Kashmir, the Ministry of MSME’s Field Office in Srinagar, in collaboration with the Pahalgam Development Authority and the Hoteliers Association Pahalgam, recently concluded a groundbreaking one-week Management Development Programme at Townhall Pahalgam. Held from August 6-10, 2024, the program focused on customer handling and effective communication, specifically designed for the hospitality sector. Distinguished faculty provided invaluable insights to hotel owners and managers. Saheel Alaqband, Assistant Director of MSME, Government of India, remarked, “We view this program as a major and impactful initiative in the capacity building of MSMEs, extending our focus to service enterprises alongside manufacturing. The significant scope for improvement in the hotel industry through targeted training was evident, and we are committed to enhancing tourism through elevated service quality.”

The successful execution of the program was made possible through the dedicated support of Tariq Hussain, CEO of Pahalgam Development Authority, and President of the Hoteliers Association. Their collaboration played a crucial role in ensuring the program’s effectiveness and impact.

During the valedictory session, participants shared their experiences and insights gained throughout the week. The event highlighted the success of the program and underscored the importance of ongoing professional development in the hospitality sector.
