Hyatt today announced the globally acclaimed offering – Le Petit Chef experience at Grand Hyatt Goa and Hyatt Centric Sector 17 Chandigarh, marking a significant milestone in India’s dining experience. By combining immersive 3D visuals with exceptional cuisine, this innovative experience redefines the art of fine dining, while showcasing Hyatt’s commitment to offering distinct guest experiences.
Featuring the world’s smallest chef at just 58 mm tall, this immersive journey promises an unforgettable evening of fine and fun dining. The 3D animated show transforms the dining table into a captivating screen, where guests follow Le Petit Chef on an enchanting voyage along Marco Polo’s Silk Road—navigating Arabian sands, braving the Himalayas, and dodging dragons in China—all while enjoying a meticulously crafted 6-course menu that captures the essence of each destination.
Grand Hyatt Goa and Hyatt Centric Chandigarh are the latest properties to embrace this revolutionary concept, initially introduced to India by Hyatt at Grand Hyatt Mumbai in 2019.
Commenting on the initiative, Thomas Angerer, Director of Food & Beverage, India and Southwest Asia, Hyatt, said: “We are excited about this unique fusion of cutting-edge technology and world-class cuisine that is set to elevate our guests’ dining experience and set new benchmarks in the Indian hospitality landscape. Introducing Le Petit Chef at Hyatt Centric Chandigarh reiterates our commitment to pioneering immersive dining experiences across India.”
Sohaib Kidwai, General Manager of Hyatt Centric Chandigarh, states: “We’re excited to bring Le Petit Chef to our guests at Hyatt Centric, Sector 17 Chandigarh. This unique experience combines extraordinary culinary artistry with captivating 3D animations, offering an immersive dining adventure that enchants and delights our guests. Jaco Le Roux, Area Vice President – Leisure Hotels, India, Hyatt and General Manger, Grand Hyatt Goa, shared “This immersive experience is receiving a remarkable response from all our local as well as hotel guests. The epicurean excellence features signature delicacies across multiple cuisines. We also have an engaging host, who highlights the exceptional elements of each region’s gourmet culture and history. From costumes and props to theatrical displays and 3D mapping marvels; this enchanting visual production and creative culinary expression is surely elevating concept dining in India.”
The Le Petit Chef menu delivers a refined and diverse culinary journey. It begins with a French Silken Chicken Velouté or a Mushroom Velouté, both paired with artisanal lavash. Guests then savour Arabian flavours with Shanklishand haloumi filo parcels with smoked beetroot, medjool date, olives and almond picada; followed by an Indian feast featuring Butter Lobster podi masala with saffron rice or New Zealand Lamb Chops or a Cottage Cheese Roulade. A Himalayan palate cleanser includes Orange Granitas and Litchi Spears or Barley with mountain liquorice and orange. The journey continues with Chinese Treasures, such as Braised lamb leg with pok choy and shiitake mushroom, King Prawns with smoky chili sauce or Steamed Tofu with bamboo shoots. The experience concludes with a French dessert like a Crème brûlée or a Vanilla Custard with a caramelized sugar crust or Panna Cotta with mango jelly.
The premium Le Petit Chef menu offers two options—Gourmet and Luxe—in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian varieties, with a Kids Menu also available to ensure a delightful dining experience for all ages.
