Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, today announced the signing of its second hotel under the Ginger brand in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The Brownfield project, a fully fitted lease is slated to open in April 2024.
Speaking on the occasion, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL said, “This signing is in line with IHCL’s vision to be present in key markets. Nagpur is an emerging metropolis and a major commercial and political center of Maharashtra. Ginger with its lean luxe offering will cater to the needs of this emerging market. The 100-key hotel is strategically located at Wardha Road, Jaiprakash Nagar, a short driving distance from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport as well as important business hubs. It is a part of a mixed-use development, spread over the top three floors of an eleven-storey complex. The hotel will house Qmin, the all-day diner serving local and global cuisines and a fitness centre.

Nagpur is the winter capital of the state of Maharashtra. Known as Orange city due to its large cultivation of oranges, it is also an important part of the mining and industrial belts in the region.
With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have 30 hotels across Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta and Ginger brands across Maharashtra including 18 under development.
