IHCL to expand presence in Bengal with four new hotels

According to TOI, Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) plans to launch four new hotels in Bengal under its Taj, SeleQtions, and Ginger brands over the next three years. Two hotels will open in Kolkata, with the others in Raichak and Asansol, according to IHCL Executive Vice-President of Real Estate and Development, Suma Venkatesh. This will bring IHCL’s total number of hotels in the state to eleven.

“We are also focusing on harnessing our existing partnerships. Five of our hotels in this state have come up in collaboration with the Neotia Group. These hotels are under management contract,” Venkatesh told TOI. In January, IHCL opened Ginger Hotel at Rajbandh in Durgapur. “We will have two new hotels under the Ginger brand,” said Venkatesh.
