Lemon Tree Hotels signs a new hotel in Erode, Tamil Nadu

Lemon Tree Hotels announced its latest signing – Lemon Tree Hotel, Erode. This property is expected to be operational by December 2023, and shall be managed by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary and the management arm of Lemon Tree Hotels Limited.

Industries and trade occupy a place of prominence in the economy of the Erode district. Industries that flourished in the early days in the area were handloom weaving, carpet manufacturing, cart manufacturing, oil-pressing, brass vessel manufacturing etc. The focus has now shifted to the cotton textile industry in Coimbatore and the handloom industry in Erode, which have encouraged the growth of various ancillary industries to meet the needs of the textile mills.

Places of tourist interest include the Erode Government Museum which is a rich repository of objects related to art, anthropology and archaeology and is one of the largest storehouses of art and culture in Tamil Nadu. For budding ornithologists, there is Birds Sanctuary, Vellode which is home to many foreign birds. For those who are religiously inclined, there is Bannari Amman Temple, Sangameshwarar Temple, Bhavan and Murugan Temples.

This property will feature 64 well-appointed rooms and suites, complemented by a restaurant, a bar and a meeting room.
