Lemon Tree Hotels announced its latest signing – Lemon Tree Premier, Tirupathi. The property is expected to be operational by Q4 of FY 2026 and shall be managed by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary and the management arm of Lemon Tree Hotels Limited.
The property will feature 120 well-appointed rooms, banquet facilities, a restaurant, a swimming pool, meeting rooms, a fitness center and other public areas.
Tirupathi is known as the abode of the Hindu god Venkateshvara, Lord of Seven Hills. The city has many historical temples including the Tirumala Venkateshvara Temple which bears 1,150 inscriptions in the Sanskrit, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu languages. The temple, on the hill’s summit, at an elevation of 2,800 feet is of great antiquity and is nestled among sacred waterfalls and reservoirs. It is a fine example of Dravidian art and is one of the most important pilgrimage centres in India. For the year 2012–2013, India’s Ministry of Tourism named Tirupathi as the “Best Heritage City” and it has been also selected as one of the hundred Indian cities to be developed as a smart city under the Smart Cities Mission by the Government of India.
The Tirupathi Zoo is Asia’s largest zoo with an area of 5,500 acres. It is built on the concept of Hindu mythology and exhibits only animals that are mentioned in ancient epics like Ramayana, Mahabharata, and Panchatantra. The Tirupathi Airport is about 15 kms from the property while the Railway Station is just 4 kms away. It is just 25 kms away from the Tirumala Temple.The property is connected by both public and private transport from all major cities in India.
