Radico Khaitan Limited (Radico Khaitan), a leading Indian spirits company, recently announced its financial results for the fourth quarter and full year ended March 31, 2024. The report highlights a continued focus on premiumization,driving strong growth in the company’s Prestige & Above segment.
While overall IMFL (Indian-made foreign liquor) volume witnessed a slight decline in Q4 FY24, Prestige & Above brands defied the trend with a significant 14.2% volume increase. This segment’s contribution to total IMFL volume also climbed from 40.2% to 49.6%, showcasing a clear shift in consumer preference.
The positive trend continued throughout the full year (FY24). Prestige & Above brands witnessed a volume growth of 20.3%, contributing 45.6% of the total IMFL volume compared to 37.5% the previous year. This focus on premium offerings translated to a significant increase in net sales for Prestige & Above brands, rising by 16.1% in Q4 and 29.2% for the entire FY24. Their contribution to the total IMFL sales value also grew steadily, reaching 73.2% in Q4 and 68.5% for FY24.
Radico Khaitan’s financial performance mirrored the success of its premiumization strategy. Revenue from operations (net) increased by 29.7% in Q4 and 31.0% for FY24. Gross profit margins remained healthy, at 41.0% in Q4 and 42.5% for FY24. Similarly, EBITDA margins witnessed a significant increase, reaching 11.6% in Q4 and 12.3% for FY24.
