Zomato Expands Train Food Delivery to 100 Railway Stations Across 88 Cities, Serving Over 1 Million Orders

Zomato has extended its train food delivery service to 100 railway stations across 88 cities in India. In partnership with the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), the food delivery platform has fulfilled over 1 million orders to date.

Passengers can easily access the service by opening the Zomato app and searching for keywords like “train,” or by updating their location at the station. They will then be prompted to enter their PNR number, which automatically retrieves their seat and train details, allowing for seamless delivery as the train approaches the station.

Alternatively, customers can choose to pick up their orders from designated points at the station.

Under the ‘Zomato – Food Delivery in Train’, it delivers vegetarian and non-vegetarian items.

Zomato also offers real-time tracking and dedicated customer support.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with IRCTC allowing us to provide culinary delights to train passengers, making their journeys a memorable experience. We are confident that the scale of our collaboration with IRCTC will touch the lives of millions of customers across India and make train travel a convenient and delightful affair,” said Rakesh Ranjan, CEO, Food Delivery, Zomato.
