Callebaut, known for its exquisite Belgian Chocolate, has announced the return of its flagship event, Callebaut Patissier of the Year (CPY) 2024, in collaboration with Chocolate Academy Mumbai as a ‘Knowledge Partner.’ This anticipated third edition of the prestigious competition calls upon chefs and artisans to demonstrate their ingenuity and expertise in the artistry of chocolate.
The chosen theme for this year, ‘Craft Your Signature,’ spotlights the individuality of each chef. Amidst the pressures of conforming to social media trends, CPY 2024 aims to establish a stage that honors chefs for their unique backgrounds, cultural influences, and true selves.
The competition will kick off with qualifying rounds challenging participants to exhibit their originality through chocolate creations. These rounds are scheduled throughout February 2024 and will be hosted in Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore. The winners of these qualifiers will advance to the grand finale set to take place in Mumbai in May 2024.
Speaking about this, Dhruva Sanyal, Managing Director- India, Barry Callebaut, said, “As we embark on the third edition of Callebaut Patissier of the Year, we are excited to witness the diverse and innovative creations of our talented Indian chefs. This competition reflects our commitment to supporting and celebrating the unique talents within the culinary world.”
