The Hotel And Restaurant Association (Western India) – HRAWI recently held FSSAI’s Food Safety Supervisor Training in Advance Catering (FoSTaC) and Management Training Programme on November 11 at the DY Patil Deemed To Be University School of Hospitality & Tourism Studies in Navi Mumbai. Attended by 39 students, the training covered essential topics including food handling, hygiene, sanitation and waste management. The program provided participants with critical, practical skills to implement comprehensive food safety measures in their daily operations, supporting high standards within the industry.
Inaugural of the training was done by Dr Pasupathy V., Trainer; Ms Aarti Pandirkar, Vice Principal and Ms Padmaja Binakar, Asst. Professor, Catering Science of D Y Patil Deemed To Be University School of Hospitality & Tourism Studies; and Ms Manasi Parab, Admin Assistant, Training & Seminar, HRAWI.
HRAWI has successfully trained and certified 3,208 hospitality professionals and students through the FoSTaC and Management Training Programme. This achievement reflects HRAWI’s on-going commitment to elevating food safety standards across the hospitality sector, ensuring that trained professionals uphold rigorous safety protocols in their daily operations.
