THE Park Hyderabad and THE Park Chennai of the Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels (ASPHL) have been awarded ‘IGBC Green Building – Platinum Certificate’.
At Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels, we are committed to protect the environment, support local communities and work towards setting new benchmarks in responsible tourism and hospitality. ASPHL has incorporating sustainable practices such as utilization of renewable energy sources, optimized energy usage, waste recycling and reduction programmes, implementing various water conservation measures to name a few initiatives and innovations that have played an active role in mitigating the environmental impact.
ASPHL is currently in the process of adopting and implementing efficient environmentally-friendly green technologies that utilize renewable, emission-free, and clean energy sources like wind to meet electrical consumption needs. We have transitioned to 100 % LED light fixtures and upgrading to energy efficient equipment. Two hotels of ASPHL are operating of 100% green energy.
All other Hotels will be energy neutral by 2027.
APSHL is dedicated to achieving a 100% single-use plastic free environment to drive conscious consumptions by adopting alternate sustainable options that are biodegradable. Annually, we have eliminated 19 lakh plastic units per annum including bottles, cutlery, takeaway containers, straws, stirrers, bags among other plastics across the Group. We use advanced water treatment and purification technologies to eradicate the use of plastic water bottles that are replaced with glass water bottles amounting to 12 lakh bottles per year.
ASPHL has partnered with Tata Power to introduce an EV infrastructure across our Hotels Pan India.
With the transition to heat pumps replacing hot water boilers and launching EV Fleet across all locations towards the Company’s planet positive initiatives has led to a savings of 4.50 lacs litres of diesel annually. By 2027, all hotels will operate with a fully electric fleet, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability
THE Park Hotels has also crafted a Green Programme in alignment with the sustainability and ESG (environment, social and governance) goals that prioritises environmental responsibility and accountability. The program highlights THE Park Hotels’ unwavering commitment to embracing and advancing sustainable practices, implementing strategies that continuously evolve to address the changing environmental landscape.
