As India’s champion, Chef Naresh will represent the country at the upcoming Barilla Pasta Championship Asia 2024 in Manila, showcasing not only his skills but also the hotel’s culinary excellence on a global stage.

Held at The Market, the hotel’s award-winning restaurant saw media and influencers in attendance and the guests were treated to Chef Hari’s signature dish: Spaghetti Uovo with Smoked Prosciutto Mousse, Parmesan Chive Foam, and Crisp Green Leeks—a contemporary twist on Carbonara. This delicacy, honoured at the inaugural Barilla Pasta Championship Asia 2024, will now be featured on The Market’s special menu in October as a tribute to National Pasta Month.

Chef Hari’s innovative creation won him recognition at the inaugural Barilla Pasta Championship Asia 2024 organised at St Regis Mumbai by UDI. Chef Hari shares, “I am excited to represent my country at the Barilla Pasta Championship Asia 2024, and I look forward to showcasing a dish that not only respects the richness of Italian cuisine but also highlights the flavours of my culinary heritage. The idea remains to find a fusion of heritage and imagination, and create a culinary experience that tells a story.”

As India’s representative, Chef Hari will advance to the Grand Finals in Manila, where he will compete against winners from seven other countries in the Asia region in October. The top three winners for the grand finals will not only receive prestigious titles but also opportunities to discover Italian gastronomy on a specially curated experiential tour to Parma, Italy.
