Accor continues luxury expansion in India with the signing of Fairmont Shimla Fagu

Accor, a world-leading hospitality group with over 430 hotels across India, the Middle East, Africa and Turkey, expands its Fairmont Hotels & Resorts portfolio in India with the signing of Fairmont Shimla Fagu. Expected to open its doors in 2026, the property will be newly built on a ~2.5-acre hilltop plot of land at an altitude of 2,400 metres in Fagu, Shimla. The 105-key luxury resort will be the fourth Fairmont property in India, following Fairmont Jaipur, which opened in 2012 , Fairmont Mumbai, which is currently under construction and Fairmont Udaipur.

For Fairmont Shimla Fagu, Accor is partnering with RTM Hotels Private Limited, a SPV promoted by the Nagrath family that has business interests in real estate and hospitality in Northern India.

At an elevation of 2,400 metres, Fagu is a picturesque countryside hamlet about 18 kilometres east of Shimla on the way to Theog. The location of the luxurious Fairmont Shimla Fagu enjoys great 360 degree views of lush green valleys on all sides. Once launched, the new property will feature ~5,500 square ft of banqueting and events space, entertainment spaces, an indoor pool and spa, and multiple lavish Food & Beverage outlets with unparalleled culinary experiences. With signature Fairmont services, Fairmont Shimla Fagu will offer a holistic getaway to its guests.
