IIHM Institute of Hospitality Skills (IIHS) opens largest training centre in Udaipur

IIHM Institute of Hospitality Skills (IIHS), India’s premier training center affiliated with the Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council (THSC), joyfully declares the inauguration of its cutting-edge facility in Udaipur today. This center is dedicated to offering extensive courses in hospitality skills, catering specifically to professionals eager to advance their careers. With a primary emphasis on vocational training, IIHS aims to narrow the skills gap and empower individuals within the flourishing hospitality sector.

The inception of IIHS was prompted by IIHM’s recent recognition as the recipient of the Training Partner Award for Highest Training Centre Affiliation. This honor further solidified IIHM’s dedication to the Skill India and THSC initiatives, laying the foundation for IIHS’s establishment.

IIHS Udaipur is a collaborative effort between IIHM and Inventree Hotel and Resorts. On the occasion, Dr Suborno Bose, Founder of IIHS, said, “Udaipur being one of the most iconic tourist destinations of the country, we had to open a centre here, to facilitate skill training for the students in and around and make them ready for the hospitality industry. In this process, the children of Udaipur will be now getting hospitality courses affiliated to the Government of India’s Skill India mission. We are collaborating with Skill India and THSC to train hundreds of skilled hospitality workers in the entire country.”

The International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHS) offers a wide range of courses tailored to aspiring hospitality professionals:

  1. Luxury Hospitality Operations (LHO) Diploma Course: A year-long program with placement opportunities exclusively for 12th pass-outs.
  2. Kitchen Operations Diploma Course: 9 months of study with a 3-month extension option.
  3. Bar & Beverage Diploma Course: Initial 3 months with an optional 3-month extension.
  4. Other Course Alternatives: A 6-month curriculum with potential for a 3-month extension.

Minimum eligibility for enrollment is completion of Class 10 or 12.

Beyond these foundational courses, IIHS provides short-term, skill-focused programs covering various aspects of hotel operations, including service ethics, culinary arts, concierge services, and more. These programs also cover topics like FSSAI regulations and safety training.IIHS advocates for the Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) to acknowledge and leverage existing knowledge and experience.

IIHS certifications are recognized by governmental bodies such as the Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council (THSC), National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), and Skill India, providing students with a competitive edge in the job market.

IIHS aims to establish 100 centers nationwide within two years, catering to 100,000 unemployed youth. Apart from the Udaipur center, courses are available in various cities across India.
