Bharat Agri Fert & Realty Plans Major Expansion in Real Estate and Hospitality

According to The Financial Express, Mumbai-based Bharat Agri Fert & Realty Ltd. (BAFRL) is set to focus on real estate development and the hospitality business. The company plans to build luxurious 3 and 4-BHK residential flats in a G+13 floor building in Vile Parle and convert its existing premises at Fort into modern commercial offices covering up to 35,000 sq. ft.

BAFRL is in advanced negotiations with a leading fertilizer producer to lease out its existing fertilizer facilities. Additionally, the company is expanding the capacity of Anchaviyo Resorts from 46 to 125 rooms, targeting it as a prime venue for destination weddings and large corporate events.

The company owns 40 lakh sq. ft. (92 acres) of freehold surplus land, where it plans to establish weekend homes. Concurrently, BAFRL is developing excess land in Wada, transforming it into non-agricultural plots for second homes with club facilities and other amenities. Discussions are underway to acquire an additional 13,06,800 sq. ft. of adjacent land from promoters. If successful, this would increase the company’s land bank to a total of 65,34,000 sq. ft.

This additional land could be used for further development, outright purchase, or ventures such as sports clubs, musical concerts, cultural halls, and even helipad services. BAFRL has also constructed a residential complex in Thane, consisting of six towers averaging 14 floors each.
