According to report by HT, Mumbai-based Bharat Realty Venture Pvt Ltd (BRVPL) announced on August 2 that construction of the sixth Taj Hotel in North Goa’s Anjuna area will start next month and is expected to be completed by September 2027. The 170-key sea-view hotel will be built on a 17-acre land parcel and will cost INR 300 crore.
BRVPL has entered into a 60-year lease with Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) for the land and will pay an upfront fee of INR 35 crore along with 5% of the gross top-line revenues to GTDC. The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), operating under the Taj brand, will manage the facility.
“This property will feature North Goa’s largest dining area with outdoor grounds, perfect for social gatherings and weddings, redefining luxury and elevating the hospitality experience in one of India’s top destinations,” BRVPL stated.
Dhaval Barot, MD and CEO of BRVPL, emphasized the partnership’s role in enhancing Goa’s tourism landscape and delivering exceptional hospitality experiences. Besides this hospitality venture, BRVPL is also involved in luxury residential projects in Mumbai, with a presence in Andheri, Vile Parle, and Thane.
