Courtyard by Marriott Tiruchirappalli announced the inauguration of Charge Zone, a state-of-the-art four-wheel electric vehicle (EV) fast charging station. The ceremony took place in the presence of S. Sivaranjani DEE (District Environmental Engineer) from the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board, Trichy.
The introduction of Charge Zone aligns with Marriott International’s vision to promote green tourism and support India’s Fame 2 policy, which aims to accelerate the adoption of electric mobility in the country. As the first hotel in the city to introduce a dedicated EV charging station for their guests, Courtyard by Marriott Tiruchirappalli aims to provide a seamless and sustainable experience for eco-conscious travelers.
Charge Zone, the fast charging station at Courtyard by Marriott Tiruchirappalli offers an efficient solution for electric vehicle owners, allowing them to recharge their vehicles in a matter of 45 to 60 minutes and is compatible to all 4 wheel Electric Vehicles available in India. With the Charge Zone, guests and the general public can now conveniently recharge their EVs, ensuring a hassle-free travel experience while reducing their carbon footprint.
The EV charging station at Courtyard by Marriott Tiruchirappalli is not limited to hotel guests; it is open to the general public 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This initiative aims to support the local community’s transition towards greener transportation options.
