Developer of Manohar International Airport at Mopa, Goa, Inks Agreements for Two Hotels; French Hospitality Giant Accor SA Considered for Second Property

According to a report published in Mint, the developer of Manohar International Airport at Mopa in North Goa has recently signed agreements to construct two hotels on the designated plots, according to sources familiar with the matter. An official announcement is expected to be made this month.

GMR Goa International Airport Ltd (GGIAL) has collaborated with Roots Corp., a subsidiary of Indian Hotels Co. Ltd (IHCL) that operates the budget brand Ginger hotels, for the first hotel, as per the sources who spoke on the condition of anonymity. The second agreement involves a renowned entity in the food and beverage industry, which is currently deliberating on the choice of a brand for the hotel development. Accor SA, the prominent French hospitality firm, is among the options being considered for this venture.
