Dry Ice in Mouth Freshener Hospitalises Diners

Five people in Gurugram received severe cuts in their mouths and started vomiting after having a mouth freshener which allegedly had dry ice mixed in it. The incident happened in at Laforestta Cafe.

Authorities revealed that the packet contained dry ice, typically used for cooling. All affected individuals required hospitalization. In Gurugram city, the restaurant’s manager was arrested on charges of intentional poisoning, while the owner remains at large. Ankit Kumar and his companions visited the establishment, where they were offered the tainted mouth freshener, leading to the distressing symptoms. A circulating video depicts the customers in agony, attempting to alleviate the burning sensation. Allegations include staff negligence and refusal of assistance. Medical examination confirmed the presence of dry ice, prompting further forensic investigation.
