IHCL announces an addition to its brandscape with the launch of Gateway, a full-service upscale hotel offering.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and CEO, IHCL, said, “Expanding IHCL’s brandscape, the reimagined Gateway introduces a full-service hotel offering in the upscale segment, an ideal fit to capture growth opportunities in micro markets of metros and Tier II and Tier III cities. Gateway will cater to the increasing domestic demand for quality accommodations with large banqueting facilities in emerging cities.”
He added, “The brand roll-out commences with the opening of Gateway Bekal today along with the migration of four operating hotels in Nashik, Coonoor, Madurai and Chikmagalur. The current brand portfolio of 17 hotels will scale to 100 hotels by 2030.”
The re-imagined Gateway will each capture a destination’s new dreams and fresh aspirations, embracing the rich tapestry of local ethos and culture, and in essence “Be the Gateway to the Destination”. Guests can expect vibrant, culturally-inspired spaces that reflect the spirit of each location. Gateway offers generously sized guestrooms and suites, localized culinary options including a tea-lounge, all day diner, specialty restaurant and a bar, extensive meeting and celebration spaces and recreation facilities of pool, fitness centre and kid’s activities areas. The integration of technology, such as in-lobby digital touchscreens, will provide interactive ways to explore the hotel and its surroundings.

Gateway Bekal offers 151 well-appointed guest rooms, cottages, suites and villas. The diverse range of dining options to cater to every palate with Earth Pavilion, the all-day diner serving a variety of delectable meals, while High Tide, the bar, has a vibrant atmosphere for unwinding with signature cocktails. The hotel features versatile banqueting spaces, including a sundial amphitheatre, a grand ballroom, and a banquet hall along with two meeting rooms.
