Gurugram Municipal Corporation fines hotel INR 25,000 for waste management violations

The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) issued a fine of INR 25,000 to Hotel DoubleTree by Hilton, located on Golf Course Road, for violations related to waste management. According to Senior Sanitation Inspector Satyendra Dahiya, the hotel was found to be in breach of the Solid Waste Management Rules-2016, which mandate bulk waste generators to manage waste disposal at their own level.

During an inspection conducted by Senior Sanitation Inspector Satyendra Dahiya and Sanitation Inspector Jitendra Kumar of Zone 3, it was observed that the hotel management was not segregating waste or managing it on the premises as required by regulations. Consequently, the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram imposed a fine on the hotel for non-compliance with waste management rules.
