The Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL) has announced the revival of Mumbai’s iconic Sea Rock Hotel, rebranding it as Taj Bandstand. Construction on the sea-facing Bandra property is expected to commence in the second half of 2025, following final approvals from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and the Airport Authority of India. “We are awaiting the commencement certificate and AAI’s approval. Goa Police have uncovered a multi-crore scam where fraudsters posed as hotel operators to swindle over 500 unsuspecting tourists. The operation, active since 2022, involved listing fake properties on renowned booking platforms like Booking.com and collecting advance payments for non-existent accommodations.
