Amit Gera – General Manager for Novotel Chennai Chamiers Road
Amit Gera, who brings with him 23 years of hospitality industry experience, has been appointed the General Manager at the Novotel Chennai Chamiers Road. In his new role, Amit will oversee the complete operations and management of the hotels, along with the senior leadership team. Amit excels in handling and supervising large staff and overseeing revenues with comprehensive experience in Operational planning, business strategy evaluation, concept creativity and guest interaction.
Amit started his hospitality career in the year 2000 with The Oberoi Hotel and subsequently held multiple roles in culinary and operations with brands like Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Leela, and ITC.
Amit was appointed as Director of Operations at Hilton Chennai in 2018 before assuming his most recent assignment as Corporate General Manager at Sayaji Group of Hotels managing a portfolio of 20 hotels with an additional charge of General manager of their flagship property at Sayaji Indore for over two years where he established the brand in the competitive market and ensured that it achieved great success.
