Anggel’s Share Hosts India’s First Flor de Caña Sustainable Cocktail Competition

Anggel’s Share, in association with Flor de Caña, is proud to announce the inaugural Flor de Caña Sustainable Cocktail Competition in India. This unique event is part of Flor de Caña’s global initiative to promote sustainable mixology practices and celebrate the art of bartending.

Organized by Flor de Caña worldwide, Anggel’s Share has taken the lead in hosting this prestigious competition in India. Bartenders from 23 bars across Mumbai, Bangalore, and Delhi are participating in the competition, which started with a month-long promotion of their curated cocktails at their respective bars. Some of the participating bars are Foo, 10 Speakeasy from Bangaloreare Bo Tai, Home, Lair, PCO, Olive, Perchand more from Delhi. Some of the bars from Mumbai are Akina, Yauatcha, Masque, Slink & Bardot, Café Panama, Pali Bhavan, The Daily, KoKo and more

The significance of this competition being the first of its kind in India lies in its ability to showcase the burgeoning mixology scene in the country. India’s bar culture has witnessed exponential growth, with bartenders exhibiting their creativity by crafting innovative cocktails with their unique twists. The competition not only recognizes and celebrates the talents of bartenders but also highlights the rising popularity of premium rum in India.

The India finals of the Flor de Caña Sustainable Cocktail Competition will take place on 4th September 2023. Out of the 34 talented bartenders, 10 finalists will be selected by the Flor de Caña team to compete in the India finals. The cocktails will be judged by a panel of three esteemed judges on the event day.

The winners of the India finals will receive a host of exciting prizes, including the title of Flor De Caña’s Sustainable Champion, a sustainable-made trophy, a super-premium bartender kit, an engraved Flor De Caña 25-year rum bottle, a ticket to the Asia Regional Finale, and a guest shift in the APAC region. Furthermore, the winner and runner-up of the Asia Regional Final will have the incredible opportunity to represent India at the global final in 2024, which will be held in Nicaragua, along with their respective managers.
