Beam Suntory – premium spirits partnered with Celebrity Chef Gary Mehigan also known for his culinary finesse showcased on MasterChef Australia to bring an exclusive dining experience in Gurgaon, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, in association with Conosh, featuring the exceptional The Ardmore. Chef Gary’s deep affection for India, evident from his visits to the country, adds a profound cultural connection to this collaboration. In this unique partnership, Chef Gary Mehigan elevated the culinary scene in India, celebrating the art of gastronomy and craftsmanship.
The highlight of the events were the exquisite pairing of Chef Gary’s culinary creations with the premium offering of The Ardmore. Celebrating the Ardmore distillery’s unique location on the fringes of the Highlands, The Ardmore offers a lightly peated liquid that is sweet and uplifting. It encapsulates the essence of the natural environment where the whisky is crafted with pristine local ingredients – water, barley and peat. On the nose, this light honey-colored whisky offers a heather honey with hints of cinnamon and toffee bonbon along with very subtle hints of peat smoke. On the palate, it gives a creamy vanilla spice that gives way to more overt smoky charcoal notes, especially with the addition of water.
Today, it is the only Highland distillery to consistently peat its barley which gives the whisky a rich and smoky flavour and unlike many other single malts, it is chill-filtered which means that it retains its original aroma.
Highlighting the collaboration, a spokesperson from Beam Suntory India said, “It was a delight to embark on this culinary journey with Chef Gary Mehigan, a true luminary in the culinary world. At Beam Suntory, we believe in the art of craftsmanship, and Chef Gary’s unwavering dedication to culinary excellence resonates profoundly with our commitment to crafting exceptional spirits. This collaboration represents a harmonious fusion of the finest in cuisine and spirits, where Chef Gary’s culinary brilliance meets the unparalleled quality of Beam Suntory’s portfolio, including The Ardmore. Together, we aim to deliver an unforgettable dining experience, bringing forth the best of flavors, blends and craftsmanship for our discerning audience.”
Speaking about his visit to India, Chef Gary Mehigan, added “India holds a special place in my heart, and this visit allows me to immerse myself further into the country’s dynamic culinary tapestry, a prospect that genuinely ignites my passion. Teaming up with The Ardmore to blend my culinary experience with its exceptional flavors adds an extra layer of excitement. The partnership with Conosh and The Ardmore allows us to curate a one-of-a-kind dining experience that seamlessly merges craftsmanship with elegance.”
