Indian Accent New Delhi Celebrates 15th Anniversary

Indian Accent New Delhi has announced a milestone as it celebrates 15 years of bringing innovative Indian cuisine to diners and putting India’s culinary journey on the world map. There are a host of different Activities planned.

Chef Shantanu Mehrotra, Executive Chef, Indian Accent New Delhi, has been with Indian Accent since day one. He has fond memories of the first menu, as would a lot of people who trudged to Indian Accent at its original location in 2009. There were several hits and misses initially but thereafter, as they say, the rest is history.

To kickstart the festivities and commemorate this occasion, Indian Accent invites guests to step back in time with a nostalgic flashback to the inaugural tasting menu from 2009, featuring beloved crowd favourites and iconic dishes that have stood the test of time.
Chef Shantanu Mehrotra at Indian Accent, New Delhi and Chef Rijul Gulati, Head Chef at Indian Accent, Mumbai to launch the festivities by showcasing the early dishes that thereafter put Indian Accent at the forefront of modern Indian cuisine.

The culinary journey begins with whole meal and semolina puchkas, three waters, followed by paneer tikka chaat and khakra mille feuille with shimla mirch mayo or chicken tikka chaat for the non vegetarians. Also on the menu is panko crusted bharwan mirch with goat cheese mousse and chili aam papad chutney, smoked duck shaami with crispy seviyan and barberry chutney. The tandoori Scottish salmon, paired with dill leaves and greek style yoghurt or peanut butter beetroot tikki with caper wasabi chutney shall take you back in time too followed by the hugely instagrammable indian accent sorbet in its mini pressure cooker.

For the main course, vegetarians can try masala morels with water chestnut, asparagus, and paper roast dosai or paneer lasagna, smoked aubergine, goji berry makhni. Non-vegetarians can indulge in garlic and khada masala roast chicken served with salad raj kachori or rice crusted john dory moilee with local greens and pinenut poriyal.

To conclude, indulge in a dessert trio of kinnaur apple, shakarpara crumble with homemade vanilla bean ice cream, coconut and jaggery brulee, ruby grapefruit pops, and the playful amarula ki chuski.

The Flashback Chef’s Tasting Menu is available from 15th to 31st August.
