Telangana Chef’s Association Celebrates 4th Anniversary with Spectacular Gala Event in Hyderabad

Telangana Chef’s Association (TCA) marked a momentous occasion as it celebrated its 4th Anniversary in a grand gala event held in Hyderabad today. The event attracted a diverse audience, including students from prestigious Hotel Management institutes, culinary professionals, home makers, and renowned Chefs from Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad.

The full-day extravaganza commenced with a captivating inaugural ceremony graced by esteemed Chief Guests, Chef Vijaya Bhaskaran and Mr. Samuel Berthet, Director Alliance. TCA President, Chef Dharmendra Lamba, also joined the ceremony, setting the tone for an eventful day. The inauguration was followed by a series of captivating talk sessions featuring accomplished guest Chefs, each sharing their expertise on various intriguing topics. Some notable sessions included discussions on new trends in the hotel industry, work-life balance in the culinary world, leadership in the industry, and the health benefits of millets.

Chef Dharmendra Lamba, President of Telangana Chef’s Association, expressed his delight and shared his views, stating, “We are thrilled to commemorate four successful years of Telangana Chef’s Association. Our objective of bringing together industry professionals, aspiring individuals, and gastronomy enthusiasts has been achieved, and we strive to continue providing more opportunities, promoting talent, and delivering excellence in the realm of culinary arts. We expect approximately 900 attendees at this event. Additionally, we have planned a series of events throughout the year, including Bakery Biz, Culinary Carival, Millet Fest, Synergy Event, International Chef’s Day, Orphanage Day, Culinary leagues, and more. On behalf of TCA, I extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the guest Chefs who graciously accepted our invitation to share their knowledge and experiences with us today.”

Mr. Samuel Berthet, Director of Alliance Française Hyderabad, acknowledged Hyderabad’s recognition as the UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy in 2019, highlighting the city’s diverse flavors influenced by multiple cuisines and traditions. He emphasized the importance of chef leaders with a deep understanding of the food ecosystem and expertise, as food plays a vital role in preserving a country’s biodiversity.

Chef Vijaya Bhaskaran, in his speech, revealed the aim of the International Federation of Chef Associations (IFCA) to bring the World Chef Congress to India. He acknowledged the significant progress made by chefs, transitioning from being background figures to becoming prominent faces in the hotel industry.

Chef Germanin Arand, Managing Director of Monin, shared, “Monin, a brand with over 100 years of legacy, aims to provide robust support to chefs through our products. We invite all chefs and beverage experts to explore the possibilities with our range of products, as we work towards introducing local flavors.”

The event showcased the participation of students from renowned hotel management institutes who not only attended the enlightening talk sessions but also presented appetizer and dessert plates as part of a competition. During the felicitation ceremony, the winners were recognized for their exceptional culinary skills. The event also acknowledged chefs from hotels, cloud kitchens, restaurants, and training institutes in Hyderabad for their commendable efforts and contributions to the industry.

The day culminated in a splendid gala dinner attended by distinguished personalities of Hyderabad, including Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, IAS (Secretary-IT Govt. of Telangana), Mr. G.S. Naveen Kumar, IAS (Special Secretary Govt. of Uttar Pradesh), Mrs. Sunitha Bhagwat, IFS, and others, adding a touch of grandeur to the celebrations.
