Resorts across Udaipur are gearing up to welcome tourists with a range of special packages for Holi. With Holi coinciding with a three-day long weekend from March 24 to 26, 2024, the tourism industry is extending the festivities to encourage longer stays.
Recently, leading online travel portal Travel Triangle compiled a list of the top 10 cities in India for celebrating Holi, with Udaipur securing the 9th position. Jaipur also ranks among the top destinations for Holi celebrations.
Offering packages priced between from INR 14,000 to INR 22,000, including traditional Holika Dahan, colorful celebrations, comfortable stays, and sumptuous food, these packages cater to the festival spirit of both domestic and international visitors.
Celebration packages featuring DJ music have started attracting bookings in Kumbhalgarh, known for its beauty and historical significance, with 80% of bookings coming from Gujarati visitors
Rakesh Chaudhari, Secretary, Hotel Association of Southern Rajasthan, highlighted a trend where domestic tourists prefer resorts for more personal space, while international tourists opt for hotels in the old city for an authentic local experience. Group bookings by foreign tourists are on the rise
As on March 11, 40% of accommodations in the old city’s hotels have been booked, with expectations of a further increase as the festival approaches. Meanwhile, resorts are also witnessing a steady rise in interest, with bookings reaching up to 30% from states like Gujarat, Delhi and Maharashtra.
