    The Clarks Hotels & Resorts enters Goa with Clarks Inn Suites

    The Clarks Hotels & Resorts opens its property Clarks Inn Suites in Goa. The brand strengthens its footprints down west and aims for the growing Goa business and leisure travel market. The brand is aiming optimum occupancy level by the end of the calendar year 2022.

    India’s rising middle class and growth of domestic and outbound tourism. As per one report by 2028, Indian tourism and hospitality are expected to earn USD 50.9 billion as visitor exports compared with US$ 28.9 billion in 2018. The travel market in India is projected to reach USD 125 billion by FY27 from an estimated US$ 75 billion in FY20. Goa will see a massive inflow of both domestic and international tourists. The state is heavily dependent on tourism with 40% of its population directly or indirectly involved in it. In order to push tourism the state has recently framed a new tourism policy to offer a unique Goan experience to visitors by presenting an interesting mix of historic, natural, ethnic, and cultural locations and attractions. Apart from tourism, the state is also boosting its startup ecosystem along with expanding its presence in Aviation, R&D, Technology, and Light Engineering.

    In order to ride on the booming tourism industry, The Clarks Hotels & Resorts open Clarks Inn and Suites, a luxurious hotel with 55 modern rooms catering to different travel needs. The rooms are divided into three categories- Deluxe Rooms, Executive Rooms, and Club Rooms. The property enjoys close proximity to Madgaon railway station and Colaba & Benaulim beach. The property is designed keeping the tourists and corporate in mind.

    Considering the business traveler’s needs, all the rooms have high-speed wireless internet connectivity and a variety of satellite channels. The rooms are tastefully decorated, and equipped with all the modern amenities.

    The property has an in-house bar serving delicious mocktails and cocktails. Since Goa witnesses a lot of international tourists, and the bartenders are specially trained in preparation of these drinks, keeping the international palette in mind. They also have multi-cuisine restaurants on the premises offering seafood, continental, North Indian cuisine like Lucknowi kebab, curries, and biryani to vegetarian delicacies.

    Further to meet the requirements of MICE and corporate offsite, the property has a banquet with up to 200 covers, a conference, and a board room equipped with state-of-the-art technology, for conducting personal or corporate events. They also have a spa, and a coffee shop, and guests can enjoy lazy afternoons or evenings at the swimming pool deck lounge.

    Rahul Deb Banerjee, Vice President, The Clarks Hotels & Resorts shares, “As a part of corporate strategy we are expanding both nationally and internationally. We are present in almost all the states of India and have recently opened a property in the Maldives. We are price conscious and believe in providing value for money to our travelers. This is the best time to be in the tourism industry, with the Indian government pushing tourism, and the pandemic has changed the attitude towards traveling, coming days will witness a further increase in tourism. We are also trying to push staycations, and long stays, keeping the price factor in mind. We are sure we are going to receive a phenomenal response from this city.”

    The brand strictly adheres to responsible tourism and is all set to develop the local area along with assisting in the growth of the local economy. 80% of the team members are hired and trained locally. They encourage a zero plastic policy and use locally sourced construction materials as far as possible. Travelers are encouraged to minimize their carbon footprint.
