Hyatt Regency Pune is pleased to announce the promotion of Amit Sawant to the position of Associate Director of Events. With this new role, Amit continues his distinguished career in the hospitality industry, bringing a wealth of experience and a proven track record in event sales and management.
His professional journey began at ITC Grand Central, Mumbai, where he honed his skills as a trainee in food and beverage service and banquet sales. He further solidified his expertise at Trident Nariman Point, Mumbai, where he served as a banquet sales assistant for a year. His exceptional performance in this role paved the way for subsequent positions at The Leela, Mumbai, as Banquets Sales Executive, and JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu, where he ascended from Assistant Sales Manager to Sales Manager.
Amit’s role as Sales Manager in the MICE Team at The Lalit Mumbai showcased his ability to efficiently handle large-scale events, a skill he further enhanced during his tenure at Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai. His most recent positions include Events Sales Manager at Conrad Pune and Senior Sales Manager Events at Hyatt Regency Pune, where he has already made significant contributions.
Known for his innovative approach and passion for the food and beverage function in the hospitality sector, Amit is adept at setting and achieving aggressive goals. He excels at identifying decision-makers, building relationships with customers and internal suppliers, and finalizing sales deals.
