Consumer Court Finds Pizza Hut at Fault for Overcharging for Lime Water and Not Providing Air Conditioning

In a recent ruling by the Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission in Kasaragod, Kerala, Pizza Hut faced repercussions for overcharging and failing to provide adequate services. The Commission, presided over by Krishnan K (President) and Beena KG (Member), found Pizza Hut guilty of deficiency in services and unfair trade practices. The restaurant was held accountable for not providing air conditioning services and for charging INR 99 for a glass of lime water, significantly above the prevailing standard rate of INR 10. As a result, the Commission directed Pizza Hut to take corrective measures.
