Grand Continent Hotels Limited (GCH), a Bengaluru-based mid-market hospitality chain, has announced two strategic expansions, further strengthening its presence in India’s growing hospitality market.
GCH has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Taxshila International Private Limited for a 10-year lease on an 84-room property in Ayodhya. The hotel, operating under the “Grand Continent” brand, is set to open in the first half of 2026.
Located in Mauza-Manjha Barhata, the hotel will feature comprehensive amenities, such as, lobby-level restaurant, rooftop dining, bakery and café near the swimming pool, banquet hall, gym, swimming pool, and ample parking.
The Ayodhya property is designed to cater to both leisure and business travelers, leveraging Ayodhya’s status as a spiritual and cultural hub.
GCH has also entered a revenue-sharing agreement with The Grand Anantajit, a firm owned by Luna Laxman Bhayabhai, to manage 42 fully furnished rooms in Devbhumi Dwarka, Gujarat. The property will also operate under the “Grand Continent” brand, with operations beginning August 2025.
Founded in 2011, GCH specializes in mid-market accommodations through an asset-light model. With a portfolio of 16 operational properties and 753 keys as of FY 2025, the company caters to middle-class Indian travelers and business professionals. Partnerships with brands like Sarovar Hotels and Royal Orchid Hotels complement its in-house “Grand Continent” brand, expanding its market reach.
With a market cap of INR360 crore and a 42% rise in stock value from its 52-week low, GCH continues to position itself as a key player in India’s hospitality sector.
