Dusit International concludes India showcase, highlights diverse portfolio

Dusit International, one of Thailand’s leading hotel and property development companies, concluded its highly successful ‘Three-City India Showcase’ on 5 April 2024, following successful visits to Kolkata, New Delhi, and Mumbai.

The showcase provided a platform for eight participating Dusit Hotels and Resorts to forge connections with key travel and tourism bodies, trade representatives, and media partners across India’s major cities.

Led by Sanjana Bhattachan (Corporate Director – Global Sales, MICE and Corporate), Korakot Kanchanapairoj (Director – Distribution Strategy & OTA Partnerships), and Rakesh Bhandari (Director of Global Sales, India), the event offered insights into Dusit’s unique brand of Thai-inspired gracious hospitality, its diverse portfolio, and Dusit’s signature services, guest experiences, and expertise in catering to weddings, leisure, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions).

The Dusit team also shared updates on exciting recent additions to its global portfolio, including Dusit Suites Athens, Dusit Thani Kyoto, Dusit Thani Himalayan Resort Dhulikhel,Nepal, and the highly anticipated return of its flagship Dusit Thani Bangkok hotel after a stunning transformation.

Slated to reopen in September 2024 at the heart of Dusit Central Park, a landmark mixed-use development opposite Lumpini Park in the heart of the city, the new Dusit Thani Bangkok has been meticulously reconstructed to offer an opulent accommodation experience, elevating the already high standards established by the original property. With fewer rooms (257 versus the original’s 517), the newly built hotel offers ample space for guests, including deluxe rooms and elegant suites exquisitely crafted by internationally acclaimed Asian interior design firm, André Fu Studio, starting at an impressive 50 square metres. Bookings for the new Dusit Thani Bangkok will be available from 1 May 2024 onwards.

Attracting over 250 partners representing various travel segments, the three-city roadshow underscored the growing importance of the Indian travel market and served as a valuable platform to strengthen business relationships with key partners in the country. The format included high tea and dinner meetings in Delhi and Mumbai and a dinner session in Kolkata. Guest of Honour, H.E. Ms Siriporn Tantipanyathep, Consul-General of Thailand in Kolkata, gave a short speech focusing on the strong ties between India and Thailand and the exceptional qualities of Dusit’s portfolio, which currently comprises approximately 300 hotels, resorts, and luxury villas across eight distinct brands in 18 countries.
