The Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (IHMCT), located on G.V. Raja Road in Kovalam, Thiruvananthapuram, is currently accepting applications for direct admission to its esteemed 3-year B.Sc. Hospitality & Hotel Administration Programme. The admission process falls under the permissible direct recruitment quota of the Institute and is applicable for the remaining vacancies.
This autonomous institute operates under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, and holds affiliation with the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Noida. Furthermore, the program is recognized by Jawaharlal Nehru University, which grants the final degree upon successful completion.
To be eligible for the program, applicants must have passed the 12th Examination with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks (with a relaxation to 40% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) in the 10+2 system, from any recognized board, irrespective of the stream (Science/Arts/Commerce/Vocational). Additionally, applicants are required to have studied English as a compulsory subject in their 12th level and must have successfully passed the subject.
