Jaisalmer Marriott Resort & Spa Hosts Prestigious 55th GST Council Meeting with Luxury and Culture

Jaisalmer Marriott Resort & Spa became the focal point for India’s 55th GST Council Meeting, held from December 20th to 22nd, blending luxury, culture, and hospitality. Hosted in collaboration with the Rajasthan Government, the event welcomed over 150 attendees, including Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Rajasthan Deputy CM Diya Kumari.

The resort offered a grand traditional welcome, including floral petal showers, Rajasthani folk performances, and bespoke amenities that reflected Jaisalmer’s royal heritage. The culinary highlight was a specially crafted Rajasthani Thali for the Union Minister, featuring local delicacies like Dal Bati Churma and Ker Sangri.

The event also featured a private cultural performance by Padmashri Anwar Khan Manganiyar, showcasing Rajasthan’s rich musical heritage. A specially curated Rajasthani Thali was crafted for Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, spotlighting the region’s rich culinary heritage. This bespoke platter featured dishes such as Dal Bati Churma, Ker Sangri, Bajra Roti, Bhuna Saag, Bajre Ki Khichdi, and Coconut Barfi, offering an authentic taste of Rajasthan.
