THSC Celebrates Annual Training Partners Meet on World Youth Skills Day

The Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council (THSC) commemorated its Annual Training Partners meet on the occasion of World Youth Skills Day. This event brought together over 100 Training Partners from across the country to mark the annual occasion and promote skill development in the tourism and hospitality sector.

The event was graced by the esteemed presence of distinguished dignitaries, including Shri Atul Kumar Tiwari, IAS, Secretary of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India; Ms. Vinita Aggarwal IES (Retd), Executive Member of the National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET); Mr. Suhas Deshmukh, Director of NCVET; Ms. Jyoti Mayal, Chairperson of THSC; Mr. Rajan Bahadur, CEO of THSC, Mr. Anil Parashar, President & CEO of Interglobe Technology; and Chef Davinder Kumar, VP-Food Production at Le Meridian.

During the event, THSC unveiled its new online Learning Management System, which will revolutionize skill training in the tourism and hospitality sector by providing accessible and interactive learning opportunities. This innovative platform aims to enhance the capabilities of the workforce, improve industry standards, and foster career growth for aspiring professionals.

According to Mr. Rajan Bahadur, CEO of Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council, “The launch of THSC’s online Learning Management System is a significant step towards democratizing access to quality training and upskilling opportunities in the tourism and hospitality sector. This platform will enable learners from diverse backgrounds to acquire industry-relevant skills and accelerate their professional growth, ultimately contributing to the overall development of the sector.”

Additionally, THSC launched its Demand Supply Study, which serves as a comprehensive analysis of the current and future skill requirements in the sector. This study will contribute to bridging the gap between industry demands and available talent, ensuring a skilled workforce that meets the evolving needs of the tourism and hospitality sector.

The unveiling of the Bi-Annual Newsletter also took place, providing a platform for the dissemination of industry updates, success stories, and key initiatives undertaken by THSC and its partners. The newsletter will serve as a valuable resource for industry professionals, training partners, and stakeholders, facilitating knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Throughout the event, esteemed partners delivered engaging presentations, highlighting their valuable contributions to skill development in the tourism and hospitality sector. Their efforts were recognized and rewarded with special recognition and awards under various categories, celebrating their outstanding performance and commitment to excellence.
