A new eco-tourism hospitality project has been launched near Salerno Dam in Hoshiarpur district, adding fresh accommodation and leisure infrastructure aimed at enhancing the destination’s appeal for domestic travellers.
Designed to offer a nature-led visitor experience, the project features four eco-huts for overnight stays, a cafeteria with seating for approximately 80 guests, a tree house, a children’s play area, and supporting guest amenities. The development is intended to encourage longer stays while promoting low-impact tourism around the scenic dam region.
Located amid natural surroundings, the property positions Salerno Dam as a potential leisure and weekend getaway, catering to families, nature enthusiasts, and eco-conscious travellers. The addition of hospitality facilities is expected to improve visitor comfort while supporting local tourism-related services.
The project reflects a growing focus on eco-friendly hospitality formats that blend accommodation, food and beverage offerings, and recreational spaces, while preserving the natural character of emerging destinations in Punjab.
