In a city where cafés seem to sprout up faster than monsoon mushrooms, standing out takes more than good coffee and an Instagram-friendly corner. Kiplings at Inorbit Mall, Hyderabad manages to do just that. With its charming blue-and-white palette, soft moccasin sofas, wooden decks and inviting bakery displays, the café has the polish of an upscale European eatery. Yet unlike many of its design-forward peers, the menu remains surprisingly approachable and wallet-friendly.

Complementing the culinary experience is a thoughtfully designed space overlooking the serene waters of Durgam Cheruvu Lake. The setting feels bright and airy, making it easy to lose track of time over a leisurely meal or coffee.
The first thing that draws diners in is the counter laden with freshly baked loaves, pastries and cakes. It is the kind of display that makes ordering dessert feel inevitable rather than optional.

The menu leans comfortably into crowd-pleasing favourites. The Fish & Chips arrived crisp and golden, with flaky fish fingers tucked beneath a crunchy coating, while the Chicken Tenders were crispy on the outside and juicy inside, which was soul-satisfying. The Korean Chicken Wings, glazed in a sweet-spicy sauce, packed plenty of flavour and proved to be one of the standout appetisers. A bowl of Tomato Chicken Soup offered comforting, homestyle flavours, while a side of Classic French Fries arrived exactly as they should, hot, crisp and impossible to stop nibbling on. The menu’s selection of burgers and sandwiches further reinforces Kipling’s position as an all-day café designed for both casual meals and leisurely catch-ups.

The beverages of Kiplings are equally compelling. The Pistachio Latte was creamy and delicately nutty, while the French Dark Hot Chocolate delivered deep cocoa notes with a luxurious richness. The indulgent Nutella Brownie Shake felt less like a beverage and more like a dessert in disguise, packed with chocolatey decadence.
But the real finale arrived from the dessert counter. The Hazelnut Caramel Chocolate Slice was a study in textures and flavours, layers of rich chocolate sponge, silky caramel, roasted hazelnut praline and smooth chocolate mousse finished with a glossy glaze. Every bite delivered a satisfying contrast between crunch, creaminess and intense chocolate notes.

The Classic Opera Cake paid homage to the beloved French confection, layering almond sponge with coffee buttercream, rich chocolate ganache and chocolate glacé. Elegant and restrained, it offered the kind of sophisticated sweetness that pairs beautifully with a cup of coffee.
Perhaps, the most visually striking of the trio was the Raspberry Chocolate Almond Praline Slice. Decadent chocolate mousse met tangy raspberry compote and crunchy almond praline atop almond sponge, all encased in a gleaming chocolate coating. The interplay of tart berries and rich chocolate created a balanced finish that never felt overly sweet.
The philosophy behind the brand is perhaps best summed up by Krishna Kumar, Co-founder & CEO, Isthara Parks Private Limited: “Kiplings began with a simple thought – that in today’s fast-moving world, people deserve spaces where they can truly pause, connect, and enjoy the company of those around them. We wanted to create more than a café; we wanted to build a neighbourhood destination where exceptional food, artisanal craftsmanship and genuine hospitality come together effortlessly.”
That neighbourhood café ambition appears to be resonating. With Hyderabad marking the beginning of its journey, Kiplings is already gearing up for expansion, with outlets planned in Mumbai and New Delhi around October 2026. As the brand grows, its focus remains on creating spaces where good food, warm hospitality and meaningful experiences come together.

Kiplings gets the balance right. It looks polished without feeling pretentious, serves comforting food without overcomplicating it and offers a café experience that feels indulgent without leaving diners with a hefty bill.
