Marriott and SAMHI Hotels Plans Expansion India with Three New Properties

Marriott International and SAMHI Hotels have announced a strategic partnership to develop three new properties in India, collectively offering over 568 rooms. The planned hotels include W Hyderabad Hitec City, Bengaluru Whitefield, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel, and The Westin Bengaluru Whitefield, with openings scheduled between 2026 and 2028.

This collaboration aims to enhance Marriott’s presence in key Indian markets, catering to both business and leisure travelers. The partnership builds upon previous initiatives, such as the rebranding of two SAMHI-owned hotels in Pune and Jaipur under Marriott’s Courtyard and Tribute Portfolio brands, respectively.

Additionally, six SAMHI-owned properties transitioned from franchise to managed operations under Marriott, further strengthening their collaboration. These properties include Fairfield by Marriott Mahindra World City, Four Points by Sheraton Chennai OMR, Four Points by Sheraton Jaipur, Four Points by Sheraton Pune, Fairfield by Marriott Hyderabad, and Fairfield by Marriott Ahmedabad.

Rajeev Menon, President of Asia Pacific excluding China at Marriott International, expressed confidence in the partnership, stating that the depth and breadth of Marriott’s brand portfolio and global platform will maximize the potential of these projects. He emphasized that the agreement underscores the long-standing relationship with SAMHI Hotels and their shared vision for substantial growth.

These developments reflect Marriott’s strategic focus on expanding its footprint in India through collaborations with established partners like SAMHI Hotels, aiming to meet the growing demand in the hospitality sector.
