Radisson Hotel Group has unveiled its first two Verified Net Zero hotels, aligning with the 2040 Net Zero Methodology for Hotels. Verified by TÜV Rheinland, the properties in Oslo and Manchester eliminate Scope 1 & 2 emissions, reduce Scope 3 emissions, and offset the remainder with Nature-Based Solutions.
The newly renovated Radisson Hotel Manchester City Centre, rebranded from Park Inn, reopened on May 19, 2025. Meanwhile, Park Inn by Radisson Oslo will transition into Radisson RED Oslo City Centre, opening July 2025.
These hotels employ 100% renewable energy, waste-minimizing technologies, and carbon-conscious F&B offerings. Manchester’s property uses heat pumps and induction cooking, while Oslo leverages the city’s renewable district heating. Both offer curated low-carbon menus rated by carbon footprint, developed with Swedish partner Klimato.
Radisson ensures minimal waste through initiatives like food waste management, glass bottle usage, and recycling programs. Guests can enjoy sustainable stays with a net-zero carbon footprint.
“Radisson is setting the standard for Net Zero conversions,” said Federico J. González, Executive Vice Chairman, emphasizing the group’s mission to transform existing properties into sustainable assets.
These Verified Net Zero hotels represent a major step in Radisson’s commitment to achieving net zero by 2050.
